Business Leaders for Michigan will advance work in three areas to achieve the goals outlined in the Michigan Turnaround Plan. 

• Building Support:  Business Leaders for Michigan will work to build strong support among a broad group of stakeholders to advance the Michigan Turnaround Plan.  We will work in a non-partisan, non-ideological style focused on results.

• Advancing a Legislative Agenda:  Business Leaders for Michigan will advance a legislative agenda to implement the Michigan Turnaround Plan.  Working in partnership with State leaders, the agenda will address the breadth and depth of actions recommended in the Plan to reform the state’s fiscal, budget, tax and investment policies.  This work will be guided by objective benchmarking Business Leaders for Michigan will conduct every year of peer regions around the globe.

• Driving Economic Development Initiatives:  Business Leaders for Michigan will focus on strategic initiatives to stimulate new business creation and job growth by supporting development of a talent base with entrepreneurial skills, developing a distinctive university-business partnership, supporting entrepreneurial infrastructure and growing the pool of venture capital.
