Business Leaders for Michigan partners with organizations to advance our work. 

We also have established a number of affiliate organizations to implement specific initiatives where no existing organization had the capacity to perform the work.  Affiliate organizations continue to have a close financial and/or operational relationship with Business Leaders for Michigan.

The Detroit Region Aerotropolis is an exciting new concept embraced by Wayne and Washtenaw Counties, the local surrounding communities, and leading business executives in Michigan to transform the Detroit Metro and Willow Run airports into a world-class business center or Aerotropolis.  Business Leaders for Michigan is a founding sponsor of this initiative.  

University Research Corridor (URC)

An alliance of the University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Wayne State University, all Business Leaders for Michigan members, the URC promotes, leverages and encourages collaboration among the universities and the state in order to accelerate statewide economic development.  Business Leaders for Michigan has a strategic partnership with the URC called Accelerate Michigan.

A website that showcases the breadth and depth of the region's creative assets.  The initiative was part of Detroit Renaissance's "Road to Renaissance" initiative to grow metro Detroit's creative economy. 

Detroit Regional News Hub

A collaborative media relations bureau for the region developed to communicate under-reported information about the region's growth, employment opportunities and quality of life to new media, traditional media and trade press in industries that are strategic fits for the region and new media outlets.   The initiative was part of Detroit Renaissance's "Road to Renaissance" initiative to grow metro Detroit's creative economy.

Renaissance Venture Capital Fund

The Renaissance Venture Capital Fund is a $40M fund of funds that supports the growth of venture capital in Michigan while serving as a bridge between Michigan's emerging innovation company community and its strong industrial and commercial base.  Business Leaders for Michigan is the General Partner of the Fund.

This site is designed to support the growth of Detroit’s creative economy through business acceleration services, community outreach and events, and talent development resources tailored specifically to creative professionals’ needs. The initiative was part of Detroit Renaissance's "Road to Renaissance" initiative to grow metro Detroit's creative economy. 

Invest Detroit

Invest Detroit manages over $150M in funds and tax credits for growing commercial and industrial businesses, residential real estate development projects and special projects which address strategic needs of the city of Detroit.  Detroit Renaissance was the original founder of the Fund.
